What is Paintball?
Paintball is an exciting sport that is fast paced and action packed. Typically people are divided into two teams, they will the compete against each other in the various scenarios; eliminating the opposite team members using Paintball guns. The paintball's are marble sized spherical 'containers' that hold paint and have a hard shell to enable the gun to launch it long distances. It is in affect an egg with a hard shell and gooey interior.
What happens on a typical day at Paintball Alexandria?
You will be met at the designated meeting point by the minibus, usually at the Highlander pub! Your group will then be taken up to the paintball site. You will then be shown into the 'safe zone' by a Marshal; Where you will fill out your disclaimer and then collect all the equipment that you will need on the day. After you have all your equipment you will then receive an in depth safety talk from one of our highly trained marshals, covering all relevant topics, then you will have a chance to ask any questions that springs to mind. You will then have the opportunity to buy paintballs, although they are available throughout your day. Then you will be split into two teams, and taken to the first game zone.
Is Saftey equipment provided?
Yes, all equipment needed to play paintball is supplied, you can find more information can be found on our equipment page. Our equipment meets the highest standard possible.
What do I need to bring with me?
As our actual game zones are set in among natural woodland, therefore you will need to bring suitable footwear, e.g. old comfy trainers or boots. Old clothing is also advised There are various swamps and on occasion slippery conditions . You will also need to bring extra money in the likely event you will need additional paintballs.
Is the game affected by the weather?
Regardless of the weather conditions your paintball game will go ahead. In the event the weather doesn't agree e.g. deep snow, you will be contacted at the earliest opportunity.
Will lunch be provided on the day?
Depending on the package you select; No on a Half day unless requested previous to the game date. Yes on a full day.
You will also need to advise us regarding special dietary requirements, prior to your game date.
How many paintballs will I need on a half/full day?
This is one of the most commonly asked questions; & this is what we suggest, although it may vary depending on how 'trigger' happy you are. Half day - 300+ Full day - 500+
Are the Marshals experienced and qualified?
Paintball Alexandria's marshals are highly experienced and have been trained to the highest standard possible, they are very friendly and will help with any requests/problems you may have.
Do you accept credit/debit cards?
Yes, we accept all major credit/debit cards on site. (With exception to Amex.)
Is there toilet facilities?
Yes.
